Consciousness Removal Project: Tacit
08/02/13 || jaimeviejo
“Tacit” is the beautiful and haunting new album from our favorite unknown band, Consciousness Removal Project. It is a shame that there is so much music out there getting full attention while projects like this just remain in the obscurity. Anyway, Antti Loponen is the mastermind of this project that keeps mixing instrumental post-rock, some sludge elements that can sound like Cult of Luna at times and Tool passages.
This new album is mellower than the previous album, “The Last Season”, which still contained some screaming vocals from time to time. The heavy parts are not that heavy but it doesn’t matter, it is the mellow ones that make this album a winner.
Superb musicianship, organic sounding instruments, beautiful arrangements and songs that flow easily make this album well worth our attention. Sublime.
9/10: A project that kicks ass since 2008.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
